We welcome couples from all walks of life to get married at the Osceola County Courthouse!
Join us to get married in a themed group wedding officiated by the Honorable Kelvin Soto, Esq., Osceola Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller at the Historic Courthouse. Annual wedding ceremonies and receptions include our first-of-its-kind HalloWedding Scare-A-Mony, Valentine’s Day Celebration of Love, and new in 2024, our Patriotic Wedding. For those on a budget, this is an amazing, affordable opportunity to have your wedding and reception in a beautiful, scenic venue. Click on the tabs at the top for details of each celebration.

Adding to the joyous occasion of matrimony, the Osceola Clerk’s Office offers specialty-themed decorated ceremony rooms at the Osceola County Jon B. Morgan Courthouse throughout the year. Visit the themed ceremony room tab for dates and themes.
In alignment with our vision, to meet the public where they want, select the ceremony of your choice whether you are looking for a simple, quick celebration or a longer traditional ceremony.

Please follow these instructions to apply for a license with our office.
Florida law requires all couples to read the Family Law Handbook before applying for a license. Please acknowledge that both applicants have read the Florida Family Law Handbook by clicking “Accept”.
Complete the information required for each applicant.
Click submit when all fields are completed.
After submitting, you will receive a confirmation number. Please save this number for your in-person appointment.
2. Make An Appointment
After you have submitted an application using our Marriage Application Kiosk, you may schedule an in-person appointment. Appointments are available Monday through Friday from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Schedule your appointment here:
Select “Marriage” followed by which marriage service you require. *Please note: Florida residents who have not completed a 4-hour premarital preparation course from an approved provider, have a mandatory 3-day waiting period between license issuance and effective date. Florida residents who have not completed this course SHOULD NOT request “Marriage Package”. There is no waiting period for non-Florida residents.
3. What to Bring
Both parties must provide proof of the following:
Identification:
Driver’s license issued in the United States.
Federal or state identification card; or
Passport showing your name and date of birth (birth certificates or green cards are not accepted).
If either person was married before, the way the last marriage ended and the exact date the marriage ended are needed. Copies of the death certificate, final decree of divorce, or annulment are not required.
*Both parties must be present when applying for a marriage license, sign the application form, and take an oath to the truthfulness of the information provided. Marriage Ceremony must take place within 60 days.
4. Marriage Ceremony
To get married at the Osceola County Courthouse, please note: There is a MANDATORY 3-day waiting period for Florida residents who have not completed a 4-hour premarital preparation course from an approved provider. There is no waiting period for non-Florida residents. Florida residents who have not taken the approved premarital course may make an appointment to return in 3 business days.
If you are getting married at the Osceola County Courthouse:
Please check in and receive a ticket from the Marriage & Passport Check-In Window on the Second Floor.
Select your marriage ceremony. If none is selected, the simple ceremony will be performed.
If rings are to be exchanged during the ceremony, please provide your rings to the officiant.
The marriage license will be recorded at the end of the ceremony and one copy provided to the couple. Additional copies may be purchased.
After the ceremony, couples and their guests are welcome to take photos in the marriage ceremony room. Please advise your Customer Care Clerk should you wish to have a group photo taken.
If you are participating in the group HalloWedding or Valentine’s Wedding Ceremony & Reception:
Sign up during your marriage license appointment & pay the non-refundable fees
Arrive 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony to check in, take your complimentary photos, and receive ceremony logistics
Enjoy the ceremony and reception!
You will receive the recorded copy of your marriage license at the completion of the reception
If you are getting married at an alternate location:
The officiant (pastor, priest, minister, notary, public, etc.) must fill out, sign, and return the marriage license within 10 days after the marriage ceremony. The marriage license may be dropped off or mailed to our office to be recorded in the Official Records. A certified copy of the marriage license will be returned to the couple once it is recorded.

Registration is first come, first serve. Register with your Customer Care Clerk during your marriage license application.
Registration is open Monday, September 2nd, 2024 – Friday, October 25th, 2024. Couples may purchase their marriage license from the Osceola County Clerk of Circuit Court. See the information listed above for details regarding marriage licenses.
Exclusive to 16 couples getting married and their guests. All guest names must be provided to the Clerk’s Office by Tuesday, October 29th, 2024. Guest names may be emailed to [email protected]. Guests who have not been registered by Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 will not be admitted.
Children under 12 must be supervised by a non-marrying adult.
Couples will be married in a secular,group ceremony by the Honorable Kelvin Soto, Esq., Osceola Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller in the Courtroom of the Historic Courthouse. Guests will be seated on the benches. Detailed instructions on ceremony flow will be provided during check-in on the day of the wedding.
The ceremony fee is complimentary for this special event! If unforeseen circumstances should arise, and the couple is no longer able to attend the ceremony, arrangements will be made for an alternate date for a standard wedding ceremony & to receive the recorded licenses. Please contact the Marriage Department for details.
Additional certified copies of the marriage license may be pre-purchased or purchased onsite for $3 each payable by cash or card.
This is a family-friendly event. All couples and guests must wear appropriate attire.
Clerk’s staff is required to identify participants; therefore, no heavy makeup will be permitted. Face masks are allowed but must be removed for identification purposes.
The couple getting married must bring the same form of identification as used during the marriage license purchase.
The ceremony begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. Once doors are closed, no one will be allowed to enter until the ceremony is finished.
Free daytime parking is available in lot C or the parking garage.

Themed Ceremony Rooms
Annually, the Clerk’s Office decorates the wedding ceremony room at the Jon B. Morgan Osceola County Courthouse for the holidays. Check back soon for details on this year’s special celebrations.
Couples may bring up to 10 guests only to celebrate their special day with them in the ceremony room.

Welcome to the Osceola Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller’s Marriage Application
Florida law requires all couples to read the Family Law Handbook before applying for a marriage license. If you have not done so, please download a copy of the Florida Law Handbook.
Please note that completing this application does NOT begin the three-day waiting period. The three-day waiting period begins after the couple comes together to the Clerk’s office and purchases the marriage license in person. Before beginning the marriage license application process, please complete the Acceptance Statement below.

As of October 2, 2023, the U.S. Department of State is offering faster processing times for customers who apply for a passport.
For routine service, customers can expect their passport 8-11 weeks after the passport application is delivered to a passport processing facility. Customers choosing expedited service can expect to receive their passports in 5-7 weeks.
***IMPORTANT***
If you are traveling in less than nine (9) weeks and require a passport, you may wish to call the National Passport Information Center within 14 calendar days of your scheduled travel (28 calendar days if foreign visas are required) at 1-877-487-2778, Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. in order to make an appointment for passport services at a U.S. Department of State Passport Agency.
